The Uniting Church in Australia (the Church) is a large uniquely Australian Christian denomination in Australia with heritage from historical reformed evangelical denominations. In Queensland, the Uniting Church has around 250 congregations and has schools, colleges and large community services (such as UnitingCare Queensland and Wesley Mission Queensland). 

We are seeking an individual to come and join our Church Enterprise team. You will be project driven with an ability to coordinate and manage the pipeline and gateway process.

The position’s key responsibilities include:
  • Research and gather information using a variety of data sources and relate, compare and analyse this information for discussion with Business Development Unit (BDU).
  • Draft a wide variety of both small and large reports including but not limited to gateway reports, progress reports, recommendations and information requests
  • Use initiative and resourcefulness to deliver timely and effective results with minimum supervision and to organise work within agreed timeframes

What do you need to be successful in this role?
  • Tertiary degree in business or related field
  • Certificate 4 or Diploma in Project Management an advantage

Skills and experience:
  • Prior project co-ordination experience, preferably across a wide variety of projects and including demonstrated planning, management and reporting skills.  Previous experience with a project methodology, strategic planning, leadership and/or business effectiveness an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and gathering information, including synthesising, summarising and presenting relevant key facts
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, trouble-shoot and to meet short- and long-term deadlines.
  • Ability to  keep stakeholders engaged and work effectively as a team member or independently
The minimum base salary (exclusive of superannuation) for this position is $89,000.00 per year.  Remuneration negotiations with the successful candidate will be within the applicable remuneration range.
