CREST Education has a new vacancy for a:
  • Full time, ongoing registered psychologist
  • To assist students from Early Learning to VCE
  • With immediate commencement available.
 
CREST Education comprises two independent, co-educational Colleges with over 1800 students and growing, an Equestrian Centre and an Environmental Reserve at Clyde North. Hillcrest Christian College, established in 1981, operates from Early Learning to VCE levels. Rivercrest Christian College, which opened in 2014, has Early Learning to Year 7 students, expanding one year level each year. Rivercrest is an authorised International Baccalaureate PYP World School and a MYP Candidate School.
 
CREST Education invites applications from a suitably qualified and experienced School Psychologist to enhance and work in support of the existing Wellbeing and Chaplaincy programs. This is a new and crucial role, assisting students from both Hillcrest and Rivercrest, across all year levels.
 
The successful candidate will:
 
  • Undertake educational and psychological assessment and diagnosis in all areas of child and adolescent development
  • Provide psychological counselling, therapy and programs for individuals and groups for a range of mental health, emotional and family issues
  • Plan evidence-based interventions in collaboration with other staff, relevant professional and parents
  • Participate as a member of the CREST staff and provide psychological input to the development, implementation and evaluation of school or system learning programs, goals and outcomes
  • Provide professional learning and information to build capacity of the Colleges and families to improve students’ learning and developmental outcomes
  • Respond to and assist Colleges and the organisation in their response to critical incidents and emergencies
  • Establishing and reviewing policy, procedure and practices of operation, such as referral, case management and reporting processes
  • Collect, collate and maintain student information and records to meet legislative and system requirements to inform research and policy development
  • Maintain professional competence and continued professional learning
  • Other duties as directed by the Executive Principal
 
Your strengths include:
  • Experience as an AHPRA-registered psychologist in an educational institution
  • Effective communication to create strong professional relationships with other staff in order to provide the best possible service for students and parents
  • Willingness to be an enthusiastic contributor to the CREST community including by participating in a range of activities at the Colleges

The role is ongoing, full time (38 hours per week) with 8 weeks of annual leave (4 weeks paid, 4 weeks unpaid), taken during school holidays.
