About the role
Under limited supervision, you will provide administrative support to students as they enter the enrolment process through to course completion. This will include providing information to callers about aifc’s courses, the end-to-end student enrolment process, allocating new students to aifc staff and reporting requirements, and being competent in technology, able to learn and use a variety of client management and other systems.

This position would ideally suit someone experienced who can work with minimal supervision, shows initiative, is a self-starter with excellent time management skills, good customer service skills with a warm and friendly telephone manner. You will have attention to detail, the ability to solve problems, and be proficient in using software applications such as Google Chrome, Google Drive, and Excel. You will have an understanding of the RTO sector, or have the ability to quickly learn.

This position is based in Canberra, however, you will also require your own office equipment such as high speed internet access and laptop should you be required to work remotely from your home.
 
Main responsibilities include:
  • Coordinate, allocate and process all aspects of the student enrolment process
  • Answer student telephone and email enquiries
  • Understanding of, or ability to learn, Active Campaign
  • Manage student and course information and records accurately in our student management system 
  • Have a thorough understanding of, or ability to learn, processes, legislation and compliance of the VET Sector, VET Student Loans and other relevant information to RTO management
  • Complete reporting requirements, including monthly/quarterly course completion, VET Student Loan Reporting, AVETMISS and HEIMS data and/or new reporting requirements (TcSI) etc
  • Reconcile monthly and quarterly student numbers with relevant staff and Financial Manager
  • General office administration
  • Attend relevant staff meetings, training and other activities as required.
