City Mission is seeking a qualified, experienced and spiritually mature Team Leader to provide vital spiritual support to our staff and clients, and lead and grow our chaplaincy team.


Essential Selection Criteria:
  • Diploma in Community Services/Youth Work or an associated/theological qualification or relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated management capability and experience.
  • Experience in recruitment and training of volunteers.
  • Demonstrated experience in staff and program leadership.
  • Current drivers licence.
  • Current Working With Vulnerable People Card.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven evidence in developing and maintain strong partnerships and relationship across a broad section of the community.
  • National Police Check is required for all roles at LCM.
Desirable Selection Criteria:
  • Experience in an organisation based in Christian ethos.
  • Ability to manage and support teams of volunteers.
  • Success in delivering support to people with complex needs
  • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised.
The Team Leader Chaplaincy will liaise with service managers and leaders to determine the how best to meet the spiritual needs within those services through programs and services; facilitate the organisation’s chaplaincy program by overseeing the recruitment, training and leadership of volunteer chaplaincy assistants; and provide spiritual guidance, support and direction for service users and workers, including coordination of the Alpha program.

The position requires the employee to develop and maintain positive working relationships with management, peers, clients, paid and volunteer workers within the organisation.

This is a Part-Time position and salary will be based on the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010. As a Public Benevolent Institution, LCM employees are eligible to Salary Package through our approved provider.
