Crossway LifeCare has a vacancy for a Part Time (4 days a week) Team Leader at the LifeCare Women’s Centre

Crossway LifeCare (CLL) is a community transformation organisation with a vision to see people in tough places flourish emotionally, socially and spiritually. We care deeply for the marginalised in society and aim to see lives transformed through holistic and integrated services.

In this role you will be working with women who are affected by family violence. The women’s centre run programs empowering women and children who are affected by these circumstances to rebuild their lives and thrive.

The purpose of this position is to design, plan and coordinate the implementation of CLL Women Centre’s programs in line with the overall CLL strategy that will empower some of the most vulnerable women in our community and their children. You will be in charge of a team of volunteers and facilitators and managing the day to day operations of the Women’s centre.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • Tertiary or Post Graduate qualifications in Community Development and/or services, or Social Work related disciplines.
  • 3-5 years experience working with the under-privileged and people with challenging behaviours.
  • 3-5 years experience coordinating and facilitating programs, events and activities within a community setting.
  • 3-5 years experience in leading a team and working with volunteers.
 
Knowledge:
  • Child protection Legislation
  • Women’s empowerement programs and the needs of the community.
 
Skills:
  • Ability to provide high quality client service under pressure, including problem solving and the balancing of client expectations with LifeCare priorities.
  • Ability to coordinate, supervise and support a team of volunteers.
  • Well-developed/effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications and database systems.
  • Flexible and able to cope with interruptions.
