About Morling College

Role Summary
This is a maternity leave replacement contract for 13 months starting in early Nov-19. It is a full time position, assisting the Finance Manager to ensure proper accounting and control over income and expenditure in the following areas of responsibility.
  • Preparation and processing of payroll
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Banking and other tasks as needed in the finance/accounts dept.
 
Required Skills & Criteria
  • Experience in payroll processing
  • Experience and knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting processes
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
  • Strong numerical and Excel Skills
  • Good time management skills, ability prioritise duties and responsibilities
  • Minimum 2 years’ working experience in a similar role
  • Commitment to Faith in Christ
 
Desired Skills & Criteria
  • Accounting Certificate or Degree qualification or studying towards these qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Quickbooks online (Intuit) and/or Sage Micro-pay payroll system
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word
  • Ability to learn quickly and work with new software

Hours

The office hours are by negotiation within the span of 8:00am to 5:00pm, however, during peak periods, additional hours may be necessary.

Remuneration

Remuneration and conditions of the position is subject to the provisions of the Educational Services (Post-Secondary) Award, levels 4-5 based on qualifications and experience.
