Role Summary

Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic, experienced teacher to join the College as Assistant Head of Humanities, commencing Term 1, 2020.

The Head of Faculty role represents an important curriculum leadership position within the College.

As Assistant Head of Humanities, you will provide critical support to your Head of Faculty in leading the delivery of quality teaching and learning experiences for students that speak to the core values and purpose of the College. You will provide leadership for the staff within your Faculty. Further, under the direction of your Head of Faculty, you will assist in overseeing the management of the curriculum, teaching and learning programs and associated administration matters. You will actively engage with and deliver the College’s Teaching and Learning priorities.

Assistant Heads of Faculty at William Clarke College:

  1. Are committed to the outworking of Christian faith in their practice;
  2. Seek to improve learning in their subject area;
  3. Possess a deep understanding of content knowledge in their subject area;
  4. Seek to build the cohesion and effectiveness of their Faculty team; and
  5. Assist their Faculty Head in providing strategic leadership that supports College-wide initiatives.
