Customer Service Manager

Youthworks Christian Education Publications (CEP) is seeking a Customer Service Manager to join our team. The CEP division publishes Christian educational content across a variety of platforms for young people and those serving young people, including but not limited to resources for SRE ministry, Christian studies in independent schools, and church ministries.  The CEP division also provides educational resources for the Sydney Diocese.
 
About the role
The Customer Service Manager is to work alongside an excellent team of authors, editors, designers, marketers and web experts who share a vision to reach young people with the good news of Christ by managing customer enquiries and overseeing sales procedures
 
Your responsibilities
  • Maintaining a customer database
  • Responding to product enquiries
  • Providing customers with statements and invoices
  • Conducting face-to-face sales in the Office and at various events
  • Managing casual customer service staff
  • Managing inventory and adjusting stock levels from the Office
  • Taking orders over the phone, fax and via email
  • Liaising with the warehouse in maintaining accurate inventory records
 
You will need to demonstrate
  • Experience working in sales (familiar with processes such as invoicing, order handling, payment acquisition and inventory maintenance)
  • Fluency and proficiency in using CRM software and a willingness to learn and engage with other platforms
  • Flexibility and availability to travel occasionally for work functions
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and to be flexible to reflect changes in priority 
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing strong customer service  
  • A systematic and focused approach to tasks with a strong attention to detail
  • Phone etiquette and on point precision to accuracy
  • An ability to work with a wide range of staff to achieve effective outcomes
  • Strong work ethos
  • Strong customer focus
  • Good personal presentation
  • Personal Christian faith and willingness to work within an Anglican organisation
 
Desirable
  • Experience working with database programs—Salesforce highly regarded
  • Ability to promote products in face-to-face interactions
