DUO’s Program Coordinator

We have a permanent full time position available!

The Do Unto Others (DUO’s) Program seeks to restore dignity, provide practical and spiritual support to the homeless, vulnerable and marginalized within the city of Adelaide. Key initiatives of the program include: Do Unto Others meal service, The Market Place, Bible study groups, Street Team as well as our Recovery Church Service.

The Program Coordinator is an integral role that provides leadership and stability for the day to day running of the program, that includes;

Program Management

• Focus on local community needs. Anticipate, understand, and respond to the needs through new and existing ministry opportunities within the Do Unto Others program.

• Ensure that program activities operate within its budget and to the policies and procedures of the Salvation Army.

• Coordinate the delivery of services among different program activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
• Coordinate and oversee running of programs, ensuring the right people in the right place.

Volunteer Management

• Manage teams of volunteers to ensure programs are appropriately resourced.
• Recruit volunteers, ensuring they are appropriately matched and trained for a position and have necessary police clearances/working with children clearances.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have the ability to lead teams and manage volunteers and work with the homeless, vulnerable and marginalised.
• Be a confident communicator, with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Experience planning, delivering and evaluating events and activities.
• Have the flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
