Hours: 4 Days/Week (32 hrs), negotiable with candidate (if desirable or necessary).

Description of Church
Hope Community Church is a strongly family-oriented Church that officially belongs to the Christian Communities Church of Australia (CCCA). With a very intentional focus on involving our Youth and Children in the life of our Church, HCC has seen tremendous growth in the ‘Young Families’ demographic in recent years. We are fervently committed to developing our ministries in this direction, and the successful candidate needs to share a similar commitment. 

Additionally, as the Church has grown in these areas, the need for strong Leadership and Pastoral Oversight has become abundantly clear. 
Role Description
  • The Pastor of Hope Community Church will be expected to maintain a high standard of Christian conduct in all areas of their life, and especially in exhibiting Christ-like Love for others.
  • The Pastor will be expected to lead the Church spiritually and pastorally, in conjunction with the existing Leadership Team. 
  • The Pastor will be expected to oversee all of the ministries of the Church, and to pray for the members of the Church, and the participants in its ministries.
  • The Pastor will be expected to be involved in the lives of Church Members, and the wider community.
Tasks and Responsibilities Include:
  • Preaching
    • To organise the Preaching Roster (incl. Lay/Guest Preachers).
    • To preach regularly (approximately 60%)
  • Leadership
    • To attend Leadership Meetings.
    • To support the key leader/s of HCC’s ministries, developing their skills and ensuring that the ministries are running effectively.
    • To pray regularly for the Spiritual Growth and Development of Hope Community Church.
  • Ministries
    • To oversee the ministries of HCC.
    • To attend Church Ministries as required.
  • Church Life
    • To become registered with the CCCA, in order to perform weddings.
    • To be available for Funerals, Baptisms and Baby Dedications.
    • To become integrated into the Community Life of HCC.
