This historic service centre in the heart of beef, sheep and wheat country offers a great lifestyle and access to excellent services and local attractions.

We are looking for a leader who can further enrich the learning and progress of our students and continue the successful school community, culture and growth developed by the departing Head.

Our school seeks to be authentic, responsive and transformational. It has well-developed systems, stable governance, an exceedingly cohesive, creative and competent staff team and a very committed school community.

Our school requires candidates to have deep understanding and experience of cultural and community responsiveness, collaborative leadership, differentiation according to need and authentic and distinctive Christian education.

Our new principal will first and foremost value, promote and be passionate about Christ and Christian education and will embody the school’s values and mission. They will also demonstrate the listed criteria in the following areas:

Community, Culture and Mission
  • Understand the school community and work within the vision and mission of the school.
  • Be people-focused and able to develop positive relationships with people of all ages and walks of life.
  • Understand diverse cultural communities, including Indigenous culture.
Infuse education with a Christian worldview.
  • Be a pedagogical leader, who can demonstrate and lead high quality teaching and learning and professional development.
  • Understand and value the partnership between school and home towards student achievement and wellbeing.
Leadership and Management
Demonstrate skills in team leadership, support and collaboration.
  • Demonstrate understanding of governance and legislative/regulatory frameworks in the educational context.
  • Be able to operate the school within fiscal and operational guidelines.
  • Demonstrate the capacity required to complete the diverse work required of a small school principal and the fortitude to carry the responsibility.
Applications should contain a cover letter addressing the criteria areas listed above and your personal statement of faith and a curriculum vitae which should detail at least three referees, one of whom is your current Pastor. Your covering letter and curriculum vitae should be no more than 3-4 pages in length each. Applications are to be submitted by 23 November 2018 to the School’s Company Secretary, Mr Scott Morris via the Apply Now button. Further information, including the position’s Duty Statement, is available upon request.
