About the role
The Intake/Administration Worker plays an integral role in ensuring the programs provided by Wesley Community Centres, Western Sydney run efficiently and effectively.  The role will respond to the growing and diverse needs of the Western Sydney teams with duties including the important first point of contact role using the client relationship management system (CRM) to ensure our clients receive a positive and supportive welcome into the service, only have to tell their story once and receive the service they need in a timely manner.

Other duties will include general administrative tasks including answering and transferring calls, ordering office supplies and supporting Team Leader to ensuring the assigned centres are compliant with Wesley Mission processes.

Job Requirements:

Essential criteria
• strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
• skills in handling difficult client situations
• customer service skills, happy and welcoming
• empathy and good listening skills
• skills at managing data, systems and client records (eg CRM)
• report writing skills, including statistical reporting
• intermediate to high Microsoft Office skills including Word and Excel
• strong written and interpersonal communication skills including a capacity to deal with a range of stakeholders across varying levels within and external to the organisation (including local government, businesses, churches, service providers)
• ability to exercise discretion/confidentiality when handling sensitive information
• ability to meet deadlines, take appropriate initiative and be accountable
• demonstrated ability to work unsupervised as well as an effective team player with a positive can-do attitude
• commitment to continuous improvement and WH&S Principles
• current NSW or National driver’s license and working with children’s check

Desirable criteria
• knowledge and experience in Wesley Mission processes
• experience in the not for profit sector
• relevant qualifications –tertiary qualifications in Welfare/ community services

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 4, with capacity for salary packaging .Superannuation is paid in addition at 9.5%.
