Job Description:

Trinity Theological College, Leederville (Trinity) exists to serve God’s great purpose of bringing all nations under the saving rule of his Son. This is done through equipping people for effective Christian service through theological education at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels.

Trinity is a non-denominational college in the evangelical, reformed tradition. It is affiliated with the Australian College of Theology.

Trinity seeks a Development Coordinator who will oversee our fundraising activities. The successful candidate will be a strong advocate of Trinity’s ethos, vision and ministry. With a demonstrated ability to build rapport and healthy relationships, they will foster a wide network of current and potential supporters amongst individuals and churches.

Previous fundraising experience, and existing connections to the wider Christian community in and around Perth, will be an advantage but are not essential.

Job Environment
  • Salary (pro-rata) (depending on qualification and skill level)
  • 9.5% superannuation
  • Four weeks annual leave (pro-rata)
  • 23-30 hours per week
  • Shared car bay available
  • Six month probationary period
 
Position Description
The Development Coordinator’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Planning and running appeals and events to support and grow the annual giving program
  • Encouraging and securing pledges and bequests
  • Growing the donor population through new and current relationships with various stakeholders (including alumni, donors, etc.)
  • Spearheading and driving new fundraising initiatives
  • Informing supporters about the life and ministry of Trinity in various media, including Trinity News
  • Fostering an environment of prayer support for Trinity among supporters and churches
  • Coordinating the activities of the Development Office, including that of the Development Assistant
 
Reporting Structure
This position supervises the Development Assistant and is responsible to the Business Manager

Job Requirements:

Selection Criteria
Essential
  • Be a committed Christian who understands and wholeheartedly supports Trinity’s ethos, vision and ministry
  • High-level oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop healthy relationships with key constituencies, through building trust and earning credibility
  • Attention to detail through to finished product
  • Demonstrated ability to work both as a member of a team and independently
  • Self-managed and motivated; excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A Bachelor degree, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
  • Competent with a range of computer programs including Microsoft Office Professional Suite
Desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising
  • Experience in public relations, marketing and promotion
  • Experience in working with design software like InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
  • Experience in working with databases (e.g., MAZE, Microsoft Access) and online software (e.g., Mail Chimp)
