PURPOSE:

Habitat for Humanity is a Christian not-for-profit organisation, whose mission is to demonstrate God's love by bringing people together, to build homes, communities and hope. The Construction Program Manager has a key management role in delivering programs that support Habitat for Humanity's mission and principles in South Australia. Currently Habitat for Humanity builds and repairs affordable homes for low income South Australian families in need, in Adelaide's outer northern suburbs.

ABOUT HABITAT FOR HUMANITY:

You will be part of both a global movement and a small team. Habitat for Humanity provides shelter in 70 countries around the world, and 4 states in Australia. You will be 1 of 6, mostly part-time staff in South Australia, which leads a broad and diverse volunteer network

Job Requirements:

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversight and management of the construction program and team

- establish, maintain and monitor construction program schedules and budgets

- establish, maintain and manage external relationships with suppliers, trades, training and employment partners

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:
- Trade qualifications in carpentry or other trade related to the housing construction industry

- Site Management or Supervision qualifications

- Experience in housing construction and a thorough understanding of house building codes and practice

- The ability to build to time, cost and design parameters
