Job Description
Reporting to the Regional Director, the finance and admin manager’s main responsibilities are to manage the ministry’s financial, administration and human resources functions. In this growing and diverse role you will also be required to assist and manage the corporate governance and compliance requirements of the ministry. We are looking for someone with a hands on approach who is willing to get involved with the day to day functions as and when required. 

Job Requirements:

Responsibilities
  • Overall day to day accounting and financial procedures and processes
  • Cash Flow management
  • Preparation of monthly financial reporting and analysis
  • Improving efficiencies and suggesting cost savings across the ministry
  • Leadership in the budgeting process, including budget preparation in consultation with the ministry leaders
  • Supervise and mentor a part time support staff
  • Stakeholder management of key suppliers
  • Manage all HR requirements
  • Maintain requirements for corporate governance where necessary
  • Ensure any day to day requirements are met
  • Perform other duties as required
 
Job Requirements

 Essential Criteria:
  • A relevant financial degree, including CPA or CA; and/or a strong finance and administration background with working experience at various levels in an organization
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in MYOB and Excel
  • Effective organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience with financial management being able to present appropriate reports and presentations to management.
  • Previous experience with leading and preparation of budgets
  • Previous experience with local HR requirements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with people from a broad range of backgrounds
  • Have a demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and show initiative in dealing with individuals and groups
  • Be actively involved in the life of a church through attendance and ministry involvement
  • Have a strong conviction of the life-changing power of the gospel of Christ and therefore evidence of your capacity to be part of a Christ centered culture
  Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience in a non-profit organization working with volunteers
  • A sound knowledge of relevant GST and general tax requirements, ideally for the NFP sector
  • Ability to work flexibly and to manage tight deadlines
  • Good Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Track record of people management and the ability to delegate
