Your Impact and Contribution
As part of the International Programs team, this specialist role acts as an internal DMEL consultant and champion to the Transform Aid International (TAI) IP team and international partners.
 
Over the next two years TAI’s IP will have a significant pipeline of new project designs. The DMEL Specialist will work with relevant International Program Coordinators and international partners to support quality project design. They will also champion and support the IP team to continuously improve MEL processes that strengthen program quality and impact, ensure strong participatory approaches, are accountable to primary stakeholders as well as well TAI and donors, and foster a culture and practice of learning.

Job Requirements:

What capabilities will help you succeed?
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications: postgraduate degree in international development, evaluation, social sciences or related disciplines
  • Extensive demonstrated experience in project design and appraisal, monitoring and evaluation in a development context
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with participatory approaches
  • Demonstrated ability and commitment to train, coach and mentor colleagues and partner organisations to develop capacity – ideally related to DMEL
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and enable program or organisational learning
  • Excellent organisational skills, including ability to plan, organise, prioritise and implement work flow to meet positional objectives, work independently and be proactive. 
  • A minimum of 5 years international development experience. 
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel
  • An understanding of compliance issues and requirements in the community development sector specifically ACFID and DFAT accreditation,
  • High standard of written and spoken English, with experience in technical writing and review for project design

    • Able to understand, engage with and support the Biblical theology that informs the organisation’s development approach
    • Able to participate enthusiastically in prayer sessions, biblical reflection sessions and church services with staff and overseas partners
