About the role
The role of Community Palliative Care Registrar works within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to ensure that medical clinical care is provided to inpatients and outpatients of the Palliative Care service, under the supervision of the Specialist-in-charge.
The essence of this role:

  • Provide in-patient, hospital and community consults
  • Liaise with other members of the multi-disciplinary team in providing patient care
  • Maintain an appropriate standard of personal professionalism at all times and in all activities undertaken
  • Implement a personal learning program for the term in conjunction with their Specialist Supervisor

Job Requirements:

About you
Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.
Unrestricted NSW Medical Board Registration or eligibility for Unrestricted NSW Registration
Primary Medical degree, eligible for Medical Board registration, and a minimum of two years’ supervised practice as an RMO
Experience in Palliative Medicine or related specialty.  Competence in the individual specialty area is expected to be consistent with the level of training and professional development stage attained by the individual occupying the position.  Minimum 3 years post-graduation.
Strong administrative and computer skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Current Driver’s Licence
Good communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
Organisational ability – both personal organisation and ability to supervise others.
Demonstrated compassion and caring attitude.
