Wesley Mission is a high profile, multi-faceted charitable organisation making a real difference in the community. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our expanding and busy team.

Along with your passion for project management, you have well developed client management skills and attention to detail.  This role works across the entire organisation, delivering a full range of property maintenance projects including office fit-outs and refurbishment of facilities including hospitals, community housing, group homes, residential aged care units and conference centres.

There are two key aspects to the role.

1. Project Administration
• Project tracking
• Project reporting with milestone reporting in line with Delegations for Tenders & Contracts, and Quality, Risk & Compliance
• Rendering the quality of the projects and recommend the costs for payment

2. Project Coordination
• Coordinating the contracts for suppliers – Tender Panel development and upkeep
• Coordinating  the contractors/suppliers to deliver
• Leading the internal Project Coordination Group and being the sole point of contact for project delivery
• Coordinating the mitigation of all internal risks  related to the project

Job Requirements:

To sum up, here's what we're looking for:

Essential criteria
• proven building project management experience
• demonstrated skills in small building and refurbishment design, budgeting, tendering and supervision of contractors and sub-contractors
• able to undertake property audits, identifying building defects, their causes and make recommendations and estimate costs of repairs
• demonstrated experience in overseeing property development activities along with staff, consultant and contractor supervision
• demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects ensuring all projects are progressing simultaneously
• excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills, especially as they relate to internal management, consultants and contractors
• computer literate, including the use of CAD software and Microsoft Office suites, such as Word, Excel and Project
• ability to work positively with senior staff, and possess good interpersonal skills
• possess a motivation and commitment to the achievement of business targets and customer service principles
• experience defining and balancing the risks (and risk reporting) of projects across a given portfolio
• ability to listen to a wide range of customers and then use your own professional property coordination skills to deliver robust solutions.
• Experience in working within defined systems and processes with skills to manage projects to quality outcomes.
