CAFÉ MANAGER

FULL TIME

The successful applicant will be overseeing the day-to-day operations of Fusion Café, to serve the community by providing great customer service, quality food and beverage options. The initial contract will be for 6 months, but see it as an ongoing position. 

Duties include: Oversight of staff in coffee making, food preparation, hospitality and customer service. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Café, including overseeing the purchase of consumables, oversight and training of junior staff, cleaning and maintenance of Café environment and ensuring quality service to customers. Provide pathways for customers to find out about other Fusion events, programs activities.

Essential Criteria:

  • ∗    High Level Barista Experience
  • ∗    Customer service oriented
  • ∗    Café Management Experience
  • ∗    An integral team player with all stakeholders
  • ∗    Excellent verbal and written communication skills and reporting.
  • ∗    Upholding Work Health & Safety, Working with Children and Confidentiality practices
  • ∗    Willingness to work within a framework of Christian values

Desirable Criteria:

  • ∗    Appropriate Hospitality Industry Qualification, Food Handling/Hygiene Certificates

It is an offence under the Commission for Children and Young People Act, 1998 for a “prohibited person” to apply for this position.  Relevant Criminal History, Apprehended Violence Orders and prior employment checks, including relevant disciplinary proceedings, will be required for recommended applicants.

A Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check is required for this position due to the nature of the work involved. Fusion is an equal opportunity employer.
