Job Title: Digital Marketing and Communications Officer

Our office in Australia is an integral part of a global Christian organization dedicated to the spread of God’s Word. We’re a non-denominational, non-profit organisation with staff and volunteers in over 35 offices working together to distribute more than 60 million resources in 150 countries. Regardless of whether it’s a radio or television broadcast, DVD, podcast, book, mobile app, or website, we provide materials to help people grow in their relationship with God.
 
Position Summary
 
In this role as part of the Digital Team, your primary responsibility will be to work closely with the Ministry Relations Services Team, planning and delivering meaningful communication which enhances engagement with our online and print communities of readers. You will also assist with the digital marketing activities that supports the overall goals to create impact and engagement with readers. This role is vital to the ministry in ensuring that our Biblical resources are shared consistently across today’s digital channels.
  
Essential Functions
  • Develop and deliver meaningful and engaging communications for all levels of readers working closely with our regional content and editorial teams 
  • Support the Digital Marketing team to dispatch and publish the ministry communications
  • Help to grow and manage Our Daily Bread Ministries’ participation in online, mobile, and social media channels
  • Develop communications strategies that engage with our readers
  • Produce regular communications including, newsletters, flyers, templates, presentations and online articles 
 The above duties, activities, or responsibilities may be supplemented periodically.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field, or 1-3 years related Industry experience
  • Excellent writing and communications skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • A high-level of digital marketing competency (Web, social media, email marketing etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and show initiative in dealing with other individuals/groups/vendors.
  • Have a strong conviction of the life changing power of the gospel of Christ.
  • Be a team player
  • Must be willing and able to travel if required
  • Experience with image, web standards and requirements, content management programs and electronic direct mail and email marketing
  • Strong understanding of engagement practices and survey principles
  • Draft, plan and implement projects within time constraints
  • You have highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage, influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
 Nice to Haves:
  • Previous experience in the Not-For-Profit sector, in particular faith-based organisations.
  • Well organised and ability to deliver on timelines
  • Quick learner and can deal with uncertainty and evolving plans
  • Photography/videography experience
  • Graphic Design experience
  • Experience in working with people from different ethnic, language, and cultural backgrounds preferred.
  • Event Management experience
This position is located at our office in Kilsyth, with some interstate travel required.
