Job Description:

Seabrook Christian School was established in Somerset, Tasmania, in 1981, and now has 3 campuses across Tasmania:  Somerset, Launceston and Hobart.  Various full time and part time teaching positions are available for starting in January, 2017.

Postions Vacant:

Full Time Primary Teachers:  Launceston and Hobart

Part time high school subject specialists: Maths, Science, HPE, The Arts, Digital Technologies

 

These positions will require committed  Christian teachers who will work collaboratively and are competent in using ICT to teach students who may be remote from your location.

  • Appropriate teaching qualifications
  • Current registration with the Teachers Registration Board, Tasmania

Position Criteria:

  • Applicants for full time primary school teaching positions must have demonstrated and proven success and experience in teaching Grades 3 to 6 in a cross cultural environment.  
  • An enthusiastic and dynamic teacher in the classroom
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively
  • Demonstrated competency in the use of technology across all aspects of teaching and learning, e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, learning management systems, virtual classrooms, conferencing software
  • Willingness to be trained in teaching with the Accelerated Christian Education Curriculum if necessary
  • Attendance at TACE Student Convention
  • Have an understanding and knowledge of appropriate special needs of identified students
  • Committed to participating in and developing a professional learning culture so as to improve pedagogy within the classroom and to best inspire our students to achieve their God given potential.
  • Competency in planning and writing curriculum that satisfies the requirements of the Australian Curriculum specialty subject areas, e.g. Maths, Digital Technologies.
  • Proven ability to supervise teacher aides and volunteer parents
